Forests, Trees, and Lanscpaes
Since 1977, The Vermont Land Trust has protected more than 620,000 acres of farmland, forestland, and community land in Vermont, covering over 11% of the state.
Birds
Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS)
VINS is dedicated to educating the public about birds and the environment, and they also have an important role as a bird rehabilitation facility.
Botanicals
The nation’s first plant conservation organization and the only one solely focused on New England’s native plants
Ocean Life
-An organization whose purpose is to secure permanent,
strong protection for the oceans’ most important places.
